Is this the first time we've been able to see strap-on jettison?

I was rooting for the
EDIT: Korolev Tsiolkovsky cross (but that didn't seem to materialise
- it probably doesn't happen on the PSLV because of the number and the geometry of the strap-ons). Commentator said visibility was so good that we might've been able to see S1 sep, but the cameraman slewed to a shot of smoke plume. :-/
