I bought them too, so I'll add my fingers and toes.
I haven't been on the grounds at KSC in a long time. (shame on me since I've lived an hour south or west of it most of my life). Looking at the areas accessible to the public, it says the LC39 launch gantry is included with general admission and it is MUCH closer than the Apollo/Saturn V center. Do they close it down for launches? Is it only accessible as part of the up close tours (although that would negate "included with general admission")? Can you just wander out there?

5 days and counting.
Exciting having quick turn around. Watching live on a weekend should be nice and easy.

I know that LC39A is no longer open for the tour, there is the LC39 Observation Gantry that is located near where the crawlerway splits between LC39A & B. Don't know if that area would be open for this launch, though.
EDIT: Just checked the KSC Visitor complex website
www.kennedyspacecenter.com and they only mention viewing from the Apollo/ Saturn 5 center and the visitor complex.

Like I said before, the LC39 Observation Gantry is NOT open for the public anymore, tour busses do NOT stop or go there anymore....

Why did they stop giving tours of 39? did they stop doing tours like after 9/11 the same way they stopped giving tours the statue of libertys crown and torch? or is 39 just to busy with work for SLS to give tours?

They stopped giving tours of 39A because SpaceX controls it now, thanks to the lease they just signed. No longer NASA's to give tours of.

I was lucky enough to get tickets too. First time to the cape in more than 20 years. First launch ever (I hope).
And by the way "I may grow older, but I'll never grow up!"

Even if they scrub on you it's a cool trip. Should you actually make the launch then take a lot of photos for those of us who haven't made it lately.

Are people here actually expecting a launch on 10 May? I'm guessing that some of the usual delays will creep in.

Eh, We've seen the payload being prepared, range is scheduled and approved for the date. You don't schedule the range (or get approval) if you think you can't launch.
Sure, something might creep up, but so far all indicators are that they are on schedule. Untill I learn otherwise, yes, I actually expect a launch on may 10th.

really?, last year i think they told me that they still go there, but only on 2 days a week or so or once every 2 weeks... I'm looking for an answer like this: "IT IS CLOSED, no way you can get there with 'only' a general admission"
