My guess is they'll try at least a partial boostback, with a target area for splashdown closer to the cape (but not real close). I suspect they'll also try to demonstrate precision landing. I also suspect they'll have better video this time.
yes, Darwin is right. but it's also terribly publicity to land a rocket on top of tourists, especially within range of cameras on shore...
But... there's a school of thought in marketing that there's no such thing as bad publicity.

I must not got to BrickLink....all of my money gets sucked up by that place.
As for Oogachaka....the song features prominently in the "Guardians of the Galaxy" trailer.

Since this is the party thread (and I am
not done fresh off of partying with the CRS-3 landing) I thought I would go way out on a limb and predict that the NtM for "Rocket" landing area will be as depicted in the attached picture.

And for those who haven't seen the trailer (the song doesn't show up for the first time until the 1:35 mark)

If that's the case, it looks like any high rise condo’s patio w/ tripod high power stabilizer binocular and cold beer might works….
SpaceX might preferred Zone A for ease of recovery IF it sunk before they can get to it.

Then we'd have to change the thread song to an old Barry Manatee number: "Her name was Lola...."!

Maybe he already did but massive amount of dropped/null-ffffffff packets in the mpeg stream took care of that. Out of sight, out of mind.

Prediction: they will attempt to land the first stage within a mile from land and actually land within a mile from the target, "inadvertently" making the first landing on terra firma.
And risking a hooverslam in the process ? (In light of all what is going on
) Although, would be nice...
"hooverslam" - Is that when you hit the ground so hard you have to collect the pieces with a vacuum cleaner?

Maybe they’ll try to land on the back deck of the Russian spy ship offshore while they’re all looking in the wrong direction...

Or maybe on Dmitry Rogozin’s yacht I’m sure he has one...

Hey, Captain.
Something is falling from the sky.
I thought you said we could enter the Coast Guard exclusion zone immediately after the launch.

(this is being discussed on the OG2 DISCUSSION thread.)
