The person questions economical efficiency of Angara series and states that Falcon-9 launch is two times cheaper. Not a word of where the data is coming from.
In this article http://izvestia.ru/news/562792 General Director of Russian Federal Space Agency say it cost more than $100 M. He is not specify what version of Angara he talking about.
Then article quoted someone from Khrunichev that Angara cost twice of Proton and about their plain to make it cheaper by 2,5 times by 2020.

Probably the best news feature of this flight I have seen - from rocket assembly to launch operations to impressive new views of the launch!  http://www.vesti.ru/only_video.html?vid=608799 8)

I beg you to please upload it on youtube. For some reason vesti.ru never works for me.  :(

I don't think this one-hour documentary about Angara's 1st flight has been posted here before:

If you haven't watched that because it's in Russian, let me tell you: there is enough really good footage (including lot's of behind the scenes), to make any Rocket Junkie happy!

I just like good footage of any big rockets launching.  I especially like behind the scenes stuff about the launch pad operations.  These guys rode the rail transporter, flew a camera drone around the pad, went to Krunichev and Energomash, and even went underground and followed the LOX lines from the tanks to the pad.  It's seriously fun stuff.

I remember the Soviet Space secrecy of the 60's. Quite a change.

Thank you so much for that video, I subscribe what has been said above about the great footage provided.

An interesting thing to note is that, in the final seconds of the second video (23:34 to 23:40) you can see a large (metal?) piece coming off the RD-191's nozzle. I suppose it wasn't critical, since the flight was successful, but noteworthy nevertheless.

I took effort to add english subtitles to the Angara chapter 1 movie... English is not my mother tongue, so the translation may be funny from time to time, but anyway it should be useful.

I'm not sure if original author will be pro or contra such use of material, so this video is unlisted and requires the direct link to watch.

Enjoy all english speakers here!

P.S. SRT attached in case youtube delists the video above you'll be able to download the original video and then view it using SRT file.

Well produced and informative documentary. I find it amazing that the Russians have allowed a much more detailed look at their Angara rocket and its attendant facilities than SpaceX has of their operations. An interesting world when it takes more Kremlinology to divine the actions of a US company than the Russian military!

Nice use of drone footage of the Plesetsk Cosmodrome, gives a good feel for how tightly packed the pads are there.

Thanks again for the posting and subtitling!
