Someone please remind me what kind of changes were made to the RD-0124 engine on the Soyuz-2 to form the RD-0124A engine on the Angara......
I have just realised that this launch will be the first time that there has been a single-chamber engine on a Russian/Soviet liquid-propellant launch vehicle. (Pause - what about those launched from submarines?)

(Pause - what about those launched from submarines?)Hmmm - what about Soyuz-2.1v (NK-33-1)? Or Zenit (second stage's RD-120)?Proton engines are single-chamber too - just that there are several of them burning at the same time.
Soyuz-2.1v has the additional RD-0110R four-chambered stearing engine (http://www.kosmonavtika.com/lanceurs/soyouz/version/14A15/14A15.html)and the Zenit second stage has the additional RD-8 four-chambered stearing engine (http://www.russianspaceweb.com/zenit_stage2.html)The liquid fueled SLBMs have also stearing engines.
