Anyone else's F5 key print worn down ?

Dam key is broken I think. I had to write an auto refresh wrapper.

We're allowed to speculate over here, right? Here's the evidence: it's nothing but good news, Elon would want to tweet it first, Chris and meekgee are over the moon about it, SpaceX has apparently succeeded in doing much more than pushing the boundaries. It has to be an intact stage, right? Photogenically intact or not is an open question I suppose.

I'm with you.  But maybe it's just a Vancouver thing?  8)

Pretty sure it's not... I'm 3000 km away from there. Probably global.
No probably about it... but for now, probably is confined to this globe.

Note statement below... the mind boggles.

But when the Martians catch wind of this probable event, there will probably be more protests. As they would know, this is just the start, long in advance, before the occupation takes place.

My guess is that they've been given the go bring the next stage back to land...

This is what I'm thinking too... Hopefully confirmation soon!  I'm no expert but given the size of the stage I'm guessing once it gets to shore it won't be easy to hide for long...

I'm checking every 5 minutes LOL. Anyways, I have not posted congrats since the launch. I missed it. It was my first launch missed since SpaceX started flying. Hope they get the stage back intact.

Dang it, now I had to hit "always keep me logged in" button to do my refreshing.

Is it usual for there to be this much anticipation post the launch and successful cargo deployment? I mean, you always get goose bumps waiting for launch, and waiting for staging events, but 6 days later?

Must be another new thing that SpaceX is adding to the current space operations- sustained excitement.

I guess that's kind of the magic with Spacex. There's frequently something real happening to get all shook up about. As I've mentioned before there is at least a hint of the future I've been waiting for since I was a little kid. Forty+ years of anticipation is difficult to brush off.

Any update on the location of the ships? Anybody headed back to port yet?

(By the way, this is totally what happens at parties when really important outside things happen. Everyone gathers around the TV and only talks about that thing.)

Did you also notice that no one is posting anything on the rest of the site?
Chris will have some crazy stats for today.
(Horrible thought... this goes on for longer than a day.)

Keep hitting your refresh button. I had the pleasure of talking to some connected folks out at Vandenberg yesterday, lots of interesting progress to be announced in the next few weeks I believe.

As to the more substantive Ginger vs. Mary-Ann debate, it was always Lovey Howell who did it for me. I guess I prefer the more ladylike type ;)

Okay, now I see why Chris' "SpaceX pushing the boundaries" headline on the latest SpaceX article is about to become understatement of the year."

This just in:  SpaceX is much farther along than we thought!

Shall we start a new poll to guess the number of private messages that MeekGee has received asking for him to spill the beans?

I guess as someone new to NSF I have yet to figure things out.

The major important breaking news always happens in the party thread?   :)

Oh wow, I've just seen this all in the party thread! Heh, very clever use of this thread. ;D

Guys, this could take days. SpaceX responses are hit and miss. Sometimes they'll give you everything you need, sometimes you won't even get a read receipt. If it's the later, I'll give it 24 hours then take the source route and that won't be instantaneous.

Got to get this right, as much as I think it is right via initial checks.

I'm with you.  But maybe it's just a Vancouver thing?  8)

Go Whitecaps! ;D

No, this is just the least likely place to get trimmed... (but I for one have managed even that)
