How (if at all) does that change with today's announcement of 3 US spacewalks on Dec. 21-25?

The cosmonauts are doing some suit checkouts and are discussing the placement of Go Pro cameras on the wrists of the Orlan spacesuits in place of some scratched up mirrors.  That should be some fantastic video.
Best quote heard during an inspection, "I was unaware that I was the only one who was aware."

MEDIA ADVISORY M13-195

NASA TV Coverage of Russian Spacewalk at Space Station on Dec. 27

NASA Television will air live coverage of a seven-hour spacewalk by two Russian members of the International Space Station crew beginning at 7:30 a.m. EST Friday, Dec. 27.

Expedition 38 Commander Oleg Kotov and Flight Engineer Sergey Ryazanskiy of the Russian Federal Space Agency, will install photographic and scientific equipment on the hull of the space station. Their work is not related to a series of U.S. spacewalks to replace a faulty ammonia coolant pump on the orbiting laboratory.

Kotov and Ryazanskiy will exit the Pirs airlock at 8 a.m. to install a pair of cameras on the Zvezda Service Module as part of a Canadian commercial endeavor designed to downlink Earth observation imagery and to refresh experiments.

The spacewalk will be the fifth in Kotov’s career and the second for Ryazanskiy. Kotov will be designated as extravehicular (EV) crew member 1 and Ryazanskiy will be designated as EV2. They both will wear Russian Orlan spacesuits bearing blue stripe markings.

Thanks. Here's some background - corrections welcome

Date: December 27, 2013
Participants: Oleg Kotov and Sergey Ryazanskiy
Spacesuits: Orlan-MK 6 and 4
Airlock: Pirs

Tasks:
1. Installation of foot restraint;

This is a Yakor foot restraint. Is this a new one, or the one they were having troubles with last time?
I don't know when it was installed on ISS - perhaps in the Jul 2008 EVA, or earlier?

2. Installation of medium (MRC) and high (HRC) resolution cameras;

These are the cameras brought up on Progress M-21M.

Quote

3. Removal of cassette-container SKK #2-SO;

Was this the one installed during VKD-9 on 2004 Feb 26? Possibly launched on Progress M1-11?

Quote

4. Removal of Vsplesk equipment;

Vsplesk was launched on Progress M-64 and installed during VKD-20 on 2008 Jul 15
Quote

5. Installation of Seismoprognoz equipment;
This was also launched on Progress M-21M and has a mass of 32 kg

6. Replacing of payload boom;
Not quite sure what the deal with this is...

7. Photographing of multi-layer isolation.

Last time.

July 15, 2008.

Was this the one installed during VKD-9 on 2004 Feb 26?

Yes. We had a problem with it during EVA on August 20, 2012.

Not quite sure what the deal with this is...

The payload frame was used for installation of three MPAC&SEED panels. It is very old (installed on October 15, 2001). So we should replace it by payload boom with reinstallation of TM/TC and SVPI (high-speed transmitter) antennas.

Thanks!  So, the payload boom is a newly launched item... Переходная балка 17КС.600Ю1135А-0 with mass 4.4 kg launched on Progress M-20M as part of the KTsN cargo set, if I have interpreted correctly

Good morning/afternoon :)

NASA TV coverage starting in about 45 minutes. Here's the timeline with some additional content in Russian: http://www.mcc.rsa.ru/out271213_center.htm

The translated version of the timeline and an overview presentation is on L2, in the Russian section.

I'll cover the first two hours of the EVA, then I have to leave - probably for the rest of the spacewalk.

Suit purge nominal, into prebreathe.

Morning/Afternoon to you too! :)

Great! I've pretty much written a short article for the EVA per the other L2 presentation and will build it as they work the EVA. If you can take those first two hours, I'll be around for the rest - in and out - so for those reading this, we'll take multiple people covering in stints if available.
