Our old friend! The borescope inspections!

Elon Musk ‏@elonmusk 19m
We called manual abort. Better to be paranoid and wrong. Bringing rocket down to borescope engines ...

Case of go fever.
Shouldn't have started the terminal count if their data review wasn't complete.
Who's watching the rocket? And who is reviewing data?

Webcast over.

So the plan is I'll update William's article and aim to write another scrub review via upcoming work in L2.....like we did for the last scrub.

And that's done for the main article realignment.

The concern must be that some engines were either damaged by the shut-down or were defective in the first place. There really is no way of knowing at this point. Until they know what happened during today's first abort and how it may have affected the vehicle, the vehicle can't really be considered ready for launch.

Sounds about right. NET Saturday - but preliminary, based on how today goes with the engine inspections.

@WilliamShatner Will do. Probably at least a few days. Depends on whether we need to pull the turbopumps.

For context "will do" in that tweet is presumably referring to @WilliamShatner's previous tweet "...let us know when you reschedule the launch".

Tip of the hat to Cro Magnon Gramps, but he posted it in the Party Thread :)

That said I expected the time not to move by quite so much... either it moved an hour, almost, or they are confused  ... from the URL

So I've updated William's article again (getting some mileage out of that one):
http://www.nasaspaceflight.com/2013/11/spacex-falcon-9-v1-1-milestone-ses-8-launch/

If we get more on the vehicle status, I'll look to write an article up on the engines and create an interim article like we did for the first scrub.

Big milestone for India's MOM today. Big Chinese launch tomorrow. Then hopefully the F9 on Monday....although it is still a NET (always subject to further delays).

I'm not in position to do a full forecast, but looks fairly good. Some unsettled weather Sunday should move out by mid-day Monday. Maybe some leftover clouds and wind.

Rest of the week is beautiful.

@elonmusk: Abort was caused by oxygen in ground side TEA-TEB. Upper stage on separate internal circuit, so doesn't face same risk.
