Progress thrusters will be switched on for the slowdown at 16:34 UTC and at 17:23 UTC the unburned fragments of the spacecraft will be sunk in the non-navigation area of the Pacific Ocean.

And the Progress M-21M has been de-orbited :). Surviving fragments splashed down in the Pacific Ocean's Spacecraft Cemetery at about 17:23 UTC.

I wonder, how deep are the waters near this spacecraft cemetary in the Pacific Ocean? Has anyone attempted recovering artefacts? Would that be possible?

It is most probably recommended governments not to do so.

Alexander Gerst @Astro_Alex:

Thank you for your service! Progress M-21M undocking from ISS

Mission accomplished! Progress M-21M freighter burning up over the South Pacific Ocean - directly beneath us.

Today one of our Progress cargo ships undocked & burned up in atmosphere. The fate of all vehicles w/o heat shield.
