...lets just hope that the 2nd stage doesn't need this many tries to start. Because it kinda needs to Just Work.

Yup, helluva lot of commonality between 1st & 2nd stages, especially with both having Merlins per the engine shutdown yesterday.

Lox valve issue would have stopped the launch whether on 1st or 2nd stages.

We've seen what happens with abort-after-ignition of 2nd stage on F9 #006.
