Power went out in my neighborhood, but thankfully Seattle's bus system is reliable. I'm now at Starbucks with my laptop and headphones so I'm "GO" for some hot SES-8 action!

Silence

Good timing there, gotta love live feeds.

Do Space X have more female employees than other companies in this line of work as on these webcasts there seems to be a greater female presence?

They just optimize their webcasts for their expected target audience  ;D

Nah..they said they were going to let us listen in to the FICR net if there was an issue. Otherwise (Assuming no major announced events on the loop, they'd have continued to run B-roll)

I would be disappointed in them if that was the case. :(

It wouldn't be a party without a sleazy guy.
Human spaceflight is basically just LARPing now.

The venting in the webcast appears similar to Static fire only to a lesser degree. Add high humidity and it seems as though it would look the same.

Sitting in my favorite watering hole watching coverage on an Ipad, and having an adult beverage.  It doesn't get any better than this!

I'm embarrassed now. Jim asking me what I meant by an acronym. (=> That acronym is probably something I made up?)
Doesn't FICR stand for Flight controller?

Well, could also be that most nerdy men working there would rather die than go talk on live broadcast... Just a guess.

I've got my SpaceX shirt and hat on, and just cracked a Widmer Falconer IPA for the occasion. I hope they get this valve problem sorted. They need to take off before I need to take off!

Sadly I'm not partying as hard as you guys because my feed keeps pausing, Each time it pauses i fall a bit farther behind real time. not sure if others are seeing this or not.

If I refresh the page it picks up but all those pauses, restarts, refreshes etc are costing time (and nerves)

Here's hoping we come out of the hold quickly and get under way again

I make a bi-weekly NASA human spaceflight history podcast called The Space Above Us. Covering every flight from Freedom 7 to STS-135 in chronological order. Check it out on iTunes, Google Play, or at https://thespaceabove.us

The only way to fix it is to refresh as soon as it pauses, but other than one pause mine has been OK so far.
