The launch of Thaicom 6 is now set for December[/]
I'm guessing this is F9-08 1st stage arriving at CCAFS as per the above plan:Source
wow, Talk about a large load

Quote from: ugordan on 11/23/2013 06:04 pmI'm guessing this is F9-08 1st stage arriving at CCAFS as per the above plan:SourceHearing it actually might be CRS3's 1st stage, but no one's certain.
If thaicom6 is at pad, can they still launch on 20th Dec?. Assuming SES8 flys next week (3rd time lucky).
I guess the satellite is already at the Cape if they have any chance of launching before the new year?(Well if they can't make 2013 they might shoot for the first launch of 2014 worldwide - which might be difficult since the Indians have moved their long-delayed GSLV launch to January 5!)
Do we know if the Thiacom-6 rocket is, or is not at the launch site?
So now, it's simply a matter of scheduling. Everything will be there in the very near future. How long will take to integrate, test and prep the LV and spacecraft and also to turn around SLC-40? Upon that depends the launch date of Thaicom-6.
And how much work was done to the stages before they left Texas. I remember a post a few months back stating that some work can get done at McGregor or that work can be deferred to the launch site and they were wondering if the Texas guys will keep up that amount of preparation.
SpaceX's next Falcon 9 rocket flight, launching a Thai communications satellite into orbit, is now set for Dec. 31, according to a spokesman for the U.S. Air Force's Eastern Range launch support team. The window for the launch from SpaceX's complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla., would begin at 4:57 p.m. CST.

Seriously, Chris, I think you'd be better off asking someone at the Eastern Range. As they are clearly already talking to the press, I think you can be sure that they, at least, are not embargoing the date.

Molly McCormick @MolliwaySpaceX launch this Friday: Thaicom6 TV satellite to Geostationary orbit. Launch at 2:50-ish PM Pacific. See you on the webcast!

I doubt that means that the launch window starts at 5:05 - there should be margins on other sites for the aircrafts and ships to clear away. FYI Chris has stated on L2 yesterday thay he is already seeking clarification on the launch time, but there hasn't been any updates yet.
The SpaceX launch of the THAICOM-6 rocket is targeting NET Jan 6 with additional launch opportunities Jan 8-12.

Chris just posted an update in L2 on the launch window information, will wait for him to do the honors.
Launch window is: 1706L -1918L.
Quote from: Chris Bergin on 01/04/2014 07:16 pmLaunch window is: 1706L -1918L.Apologies for the newbie question, but I assume that the L is for the local timezone (UTC-5), not the military's "Lima Time Zone" (UTC+11). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_military_time_zones
