Mobile Launch Platform
« on: 09/07/2013 02:52 am »
I am back at working on my launch complex.   i am looking to do a lot more detail and i have a question on the MLP.  does anyone know if the vertical bars on the sides of the mlp are solid boxed beams or ibeams.  i cannot tell from anything i have.

Maybe someone has some schematics of the MLP :)

Hi shuttlemodeler and welcome here in NSF Forum.

Very nice that you want to add details to your MLP, I also love tiny details and try to scratch build.

Most of these vertical bars are T beams on the real thing, but not all.

As you can see in this pictures, at the corners which are angularly profile, and then there are also some few rectangular profiles.

I wish you much fun and great success in detailing the structures.

So they are both T beams and box beams?

Sorry, I don't understand your question, I have answered: Most of the vertical bars are T beams!
