Assembly of the rocket and payload has been completed.
Notice the ST-type fairing used....
http://www.federalspace.ru/21212/
Well this is where the article nomenclature just confuses me. For those flights with Fregat upper stage the fairing is referred to as 81КС, but is labelled 81КС1000-0; the serial numbers started with 001, and so far run up to 020. Same thing then? This is the first use of an 81КС without a Fregat upper stage, and introduces a new interstage adapter between the rocket and fairing and payload, the 196КС. It has 81КС1000А5-0 stamped on the side and serial number is 001. So a slight variation then? Note also there is no gaps in the serial numbers for the 14С738 fairing, which is used for Persona satellites. So that too is a variation of the same thing.
Also the Soyuz rocket stages are 14С530000А1-0 and 14С540000А1-0 for the 1A variant, or 14С530000-0 and 14С540000-0 for the 1B. Two separate sequences of serial numbers.
But what is odd, or so far unexplained to me, why the Progress launches changed from plane 11С517А2 to interstage 11С517А23000А1-0 with fairing 11С517А21000А1-0, but with the serial number continuing from 109 for Progress M-25M (the first on a Soyuz-2 rocket).

In William's desciption of the launch of Resurs-P 2 he might like to note that the symmetry of the separation of the four strap-on boosters (Bloks B, V, G and D) around the still burning core stage (Blok A) has been given the name "Korolyov Cross". Of course, this is in honour of Sergei Korolyov whose design bureau was responsible for the original R-7 ICBM that this family of launchers is based upon.
