Yikes hope it avoids Santa.
Don't worry; Santa is a well-informed, jolly old elf. I understand Kris Kringle is a NSF member!

You would think so but that doesn't explain yesterday's scrub at T-38(?) minutes. I think that just like every other launch service that upper level winds are not in the main weather forecast. Those only forecast surface level winds, not the ones at altitude.

Postponed 24 hrs due to high upper winds.
The Proton Launch System Mission Planner’s Guide has this paragraph:-
During first stage flight, lateral dynamic loads are generated by wind gusts superimposed on steady-state wind loads generated by the jet stream. LV longitudinal flexible oscillations are produced at 10 to 12 Hz by the natural random pulsation of the engine thrust. There is no pogo phenomenon. The maximum value of these oscillations based on telemetry measurements is 0,35 g.
