With the successful berthing of Cygnus, and successful launch of F9 v1.1, could the commercial spaceflight sector ask for a better day than this?

I don't like images with so much contrast stretch, but it's the best one I've seen yet.

Also, gas generators sure make for nice, flamey plumes.

Sorry I have to ask. In one of those busy threads today a list of flickr links for launch photos was posted. It seems now slipped far back due to the many posts and I can't find them. Can somebody tell me which thread these links were in?

Thanks

Slept right through as usual  :-[

To think I only gave it 38% chance.

So did SpaceX score 10/10? (for 10 engines)

I was totally wrong about the 1 flight. Going to have to face up in the prediction thread now.

I'd give it a 9/10.  All payloads delivered correctly but the test reignite of the 2nd stage failed.

I really love the shockwave effect from the interacting core plumes!

The flame from the rocket reminds me Saturn V launch.

Why did he stoped recording :(
A little bit better optics and he could record sep.

Honestly, I was nervous as hell about this launch. Way too much riding on it in my opinion.
It was definitely a four-finger jack-and-coke kind of day, of which I'm on my third....

Lets see how many can figure that one out....

I sure can - many a long night in the trauma center ER ended with ingested ethanol rocket fuel ;)

Probably the limit of the camera's recording period.

Me too, and I'm not even doing it for a living.

Parts recovered from 1'st stage after failed burn and tumble?
Awesome work  by recovery team.

Maybe those parts will eventually end up on ebay.    :o

So happy to see SpaceX get this launch done.

Another Falcon 9 another first flight success.

On to bigger and better things for v1.1.
