2 days and counting!
Waiting for LRR for confirmation but the weather forecast* is looking good  8)

*maybe temperature inversions could still be an issue but I have no idea how to check for that.

Well, it's set to launch on my birthday.  You might think "cool!", but it's actually the one day I'll be too busy to see the launch. :-\

Monday forecast is "breezy," so hopefully they'll light it up on Sunday.

In case you weren't convinced that journalism is becoming awful, check out this clip:

-  SpaceX's "Dragon 9" rocket
- Outdated footage of Stratolaunch
- No mention of VG's hot fire tests

Want to bet on whether they'll hit the T-0 the first time?

Ohhh! This is so tempting. But I can't transfer funds or make buys easily from here. What about a poll?
I say third ignition. But that's just a guess.

I don't know whether my new F9 t-shirt is lucky or not.  I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Any bets on how many aborts we go through this time around before it goes?

I'm thinking that the two static fires and the test stand issues have already pleased the launch gods. I say it lights on the first countdown. After that I'm really hoping it actually flies too.

That's why 2 launches of MM-3 went OK...

If it lights - it flies, no question. But - where? And how long?

Ignition is before T-0. They let the engines build up thrust. In fact, they have aborted a couple of times due to engines non-nominal start up.

It's a party guys. You don't have to dork out on everything quite so literally all the time.  ;) Let's just say I'm betting they have paid their dues and have a minimum of difficulty on this one. (I hope...) ::)

SFN reports the Air Force meteorologist as predicting 80-90 % probability of favorable weather on Sunday, reducing to 70% probability on Monday.

I'm driving up to Vandenberg on Sunday to see the launch.  Anyone know of a good place to watch from?  NASA says there is public viewing off of Lompoc Casamalia Rd., but if there's a better spot, I'm willing to poke around to find it.

I'm on the other end of the continent, but there is a separate launch viewing thread which may be able to answer your questions:  http://forum.nasaspaceflight.com/index.php?topic=32534.0
