On the bright side, at least by then I'll have the F9 t-shirt I ordered

I've got the grey one with the 'distressed' logo, which seems particularly apposite   :)

There are maiden flight parties everywhere this month!

There's the LADEE moon frog-frying party 10 days ago.  ;)
There's the Japanese party last Saturday.  :D
Today we have got the Bombardier CSeries maiden flight party up in Montreal.  8)
Tomorrow hopefully the beautiful Boeing 787-9 goes up for the first time.  :-*
Wednesday's the Cygnus beer keg festival.  :P

But the party's incomplete without SpaceX lighting up their long white candle and drop it back into the ocean! ;D

Since this is a party thread, I'll give my slow clap to the technology at 1:28 as well.  Stay behind that thing!

It may be the perfect application for testing Inconel 3D printing!

...Might be possible in plastic too, now that I think about it.

Where is that "like" button? :-)  Love the over the top insane/brilliant stupidity of Robert Rodriguez and great to see F9 1.0 in the trailer.  Wonder if it will be in the movie?

Nah, they will delay the movie until the first v1.1 flight. Just to make sure they have a successful movie ;)

I'm just waiting for SpaceX to hire Machete to trim the nozzle of the upper stage engine this time. ;)

Cheech Marin is frequently a part of Robert Rodriguez movies. Maybe they can make a new version of "Up In Smoke" starting Elon Musk and Justin Bieber.

I think the reason for Mel Gibson's choice of launcher is obvious, Falcon 9 is the only vehicle capable of destroying Washington D.C....with one engine out!

Yeah, but SpaceX has a long backlog of cities to destroy before it gets to Washington.  And lets be honest, if you hire SpaceX to destroy a city, you know they'll kind of always be distracted working on their ultimate goal to destroy Mars.

Nah, they'll launch against state capitols that have laws banning direct car sales to the public!
