Hi, folks. I'm late to the party, it seems.I comment at another blog where some of the members talk about drinking single-malt scotch. I've never had it before, but a couple of months ago I bought a bottle to save for a special occasion. I think the maiden launch of Falcon 9 v1.1 certainly qualifies. If it launches this weekend, that is. If it's postponed to a daytime weekday launch when I'm at work, I'll have to settle for coffee instead.
Here's hoping that the Falcon 9v1.1 first stage doesn't develop a bad "attitude" on the way down.
...Dirty and used getting picked up, taken home, studied, taken apart; only to be upstaged by a unit with springy legs and big feet.
Here's to hoping she doesn't develop a bad attitude on the way UP. After that everything else is just gravy....
During Ares 1-X I was talking to the TV saying "please fly straight.... please fly straight...please fly straight...."
any talk of hot fire time or if there will be video?

I seem to remember Musk saying that they would be pleased if they got it to a stage where it could potentially be recovered.
