Ohhh, I didn't even think to check the EELV portal!  I didn't know that was active for SpaceX launches.  Awesome.

Thanks also for the NSF MCC reminder.  See L2 for link.

EDIT:  A12, check the L2 thread that is covering this launch, I just posted it there, anticpating your question :)

I got it, many thanks for info ChrisC !

Still better than most elevator music. :)

At least here in Italy, the Livestream is getting continuously dropped...  >:(
It lasts not more than 20/30 (even at the lowest rate available).
The strange thing is that the same stream, received on the spaceflightnow page, is ok.
Anyone having the same issue ?

I like downtempo music, and I guess someone at SpX does too!

Looking forward to actually launching on time. SES8 was annoying.

At least this music is better than that 30 second loop Arianespace use on their webcast pre-starts.

I always have that crap stuck in my head for days after a Arianespace webcast.

Could just be routing issues. I believe the spaceflight now 're-broactasts' the live stream(s), so you may just have better/quicker access to that server than the livestream servers that hosts the 'original' webcast.

Yes I have and had the same issue with the SpaceX livestream. livestream.com is not really great in Europe (Germany here).
Most times the spaceflightnow mission control centre stream is working. But this is the only livestream.com stream that i have almost no problems with. I hope that SpaceX will switch to some other stream provider, even though i don't think it will happen.

Sorry. Forgot about launch etiquette. But SpX did list this flight as successful already, so they jinxed themselves first. :-[

am also having problems with Livestream, as is often the case for me here (France).

Just found a solution after looking through the code source of the Livestream page. Use any of these links in VLC:
http://livestream-f.akamaihd.net/142499_129958_e5e94d62_1_150@5981      (bitrate="150000")
http://livestream-f.akamaihd.net/142499_129958_e5e94d62_1_550@5981      (bitrate="550000")
http://livestream-f.akamaihd.net/142499_129958_e5e94d62_1_2000@5981      (bitrate="2000000")

If the feed still keeps dropping, then select the "loop" button. It'll be choppy, but it should be workable.

Good luck!

Much better now !  (using loop button as you suggested)
Many thanks !

Any additional info on what exactly the fairing issue was?  Thanks!

Real nice closeup of the strongback retraction just now.  Can definitely hear the wind on the microphone.  A bit gusty still.

Is that a new setup of those hoses connected to the fairing?

We just got a 1st stage cam view, I think... Looked different than the 2nd stage cam. Unless they moved it.

Looked a little hairy there for a minute. I thought the hoses were going to get tangled and pull out of the fairing.

Re.: A/C hoses - Yeah I had an OMG moment myself but they untangled themselves and it's possible that they were meant to unfurl that way. Never forget that Elon's hired lots of professionals (including a few long-time forum members) so you've got to assume they know what they're doing!
