I don't mind that name. It could have been a lot worse! It's easy to remember and tweet (the latter being the main reason)

That name really belongs to their first starship.... Not some LEO vehicle IMHO...

I kinda like the new name. Harkens back to a lot of Boeing passenger aircraft names, all the way back to the 307 Stratoliner based on the B-17.

I like it too but like Astroliner a bit better. Kinda weird solar panel location, no? Will have to do quite a bit of attitude adjusting to keep it in the sunlight during orbit.
Edit: I guess they could just put in a slow roll to keep the aft end oriented to the sun but it still would require nulling the roll for rendezvous burns.

Thanks for the timely article Chris G. I won’t hold you personally responsible for the vehicle name...

"Starliner." It envisions a comfortable ride to where you want to go.
But I wonder, how good will be the in-flight peanuts (or pretzels, if you're allergic)?

As long as there is room in the overhead for my carryon...they will gate check my bag over my cold vacuum frozen corpse.

About that promo...
"...returning American astronauts to space in an American spacecraft on an American rocket."
Too bad the narrator forgot to add: "Powered by Russian engines". I guess Boeing has to be politically correct at all times.
