Modular Snap-Fit Saturn V
« on: 03/09/2013 01:03 pm »
This 3D printed Model needed its own thread.  It's become a game changer.  Almost 6000 downloads means a lot of prints will be done shortly, mine included.  I've even seen prints on e-bay for $20.

Getting in the mood to print one of these myself so I thought I'd check for some updates etc.

Found the download count is pushing 9000 now and we have some good example prints.

not sure, but it could be Blue PLA material.   With the right skills you can make it shine like a mirror.

What does it weigh?  It looks like a candidate for Plastic Model Conversion.

weigh, not very much.  With 3D models you can scale/thicken to your wishes.

A much needed bump on this thread.....

I just did a test print on the second stage and the print quality was good enough for me.

However, it was a poor choice to print in natural abs as it was more translucent then I expected.

In the process of switching over to our light grey abs material then will go live with a streaming broadcast.

What scale is this?

http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:45316     The stl file doesn't give the size

Nice thing about 3D Printing you can scale to what ever size you wish
