Josh Byers gave a more definitive and up-to-date time for the start of trunk payload removal just now on the daily ISS update hour:

1PM central (approx) today

He also comfirmed it will be ground-commanded (as expected). So it will be  significantly slower than if the astros did it.

Yes, the trunk cargo retrieval will be slower, but saves valuable ISS crew man-hours for running experiments and doing station upkeep.

While the real SSRMS is removing the HRSGFs from Dragon, why not try your hand at the CSA's newly released and genuinely awesome Canadarm2 simulator! :)

Couple frames from a while back.

Great stuff, everyone keep an eye on this and capture what you can. Another milestone.

The arm is slowly moving closer to the trunk now.

They are back from LOS now, but for some reason the video is extremely noisy. Perhaps it is just the low-light mode of the camera.

Still on the night-side for a little longer.  I can't easily do screencaps from that feed, so hopefully someone else can.

Yeah, it's not great quality at the moment.

Sunrise on that feed (elbow camera, looks like on the UStream feed).  (Well sunrise with whatever buffer delay I have here.)

Digital video cameras are all like that in low-light conditions at the edge of what they can handle.

Molly McCormick of spaceX tweeted that the payload have been released from the trunk:

Quote
@Molliway : We just released the CRAP out of that cargo! High fives, all around! ...What do you mean, "Overfocusing on minutiae because I worked on it?"

(She's not a spokesperson for SpaceX, just an engineer. As should be obvious from the style of the tweet).

I was going to say that it looks like it is grappled/captured, I guess that confirms it.

Looks like they've temporarily or automatically switched the downlink feed they relay on the UStream channel...one manual cap before they went to the truss on D/L 1.
