So, now we know that when NASA announces an estimated capture time for the next day, there is at least a full hour of wiggle room in that.  Obviously they might run behind the timeline due to issues, and I expected they might run a little ahead, but not a full hour.  Contrast with the shuttle days, where they'd be nowhere near this early, rather just staying right on the timeline.

Not complaining, just documenting it for the future.  Congratulations SpaceX!

Wrong conclusion.  Because of delay and replanning, that is the reason for the time difference.  This would not be applicable on a nominal mission

The timeline Chris is referencing is anchored to what they announced last night -
capture at 1131Z planned last night vs 1031Z actual this morning. I wasn't aware there was further delay/replanning between last night and this morning - so what changed to trim that 60 minutes?

Or did you mean to say that because this is an off-nominal approach, even after the replanning they play it more fast and loose 'by ear' than on a nominal approach?

from a few minutes ago: "EVPA(?) is safed" ISS checked and ground confirmed.

Do we know when they plan to de-stow the grapple bars from the trunk?

I think i have seen March 5-6 mentioned somewhere, but treat that as an unreliable rumor. Also the docking delay might propagate to the de-stow. Maybe another member has more reliable information from L2 or elsewhere.

CSA has an animation of the de-stow. Second video on this page: http://www.asc-csa.gc.ca/eng/iss/canadarm2-grapples-videos.asp

Such a pity they are not streaming the node 2 camera they set up pointed at the nadir hatch earlier during bolt-loading (before pressure-checks).

Destiny looking towards Unity/PMA

So, in this picture, nadir is up, and the hatch to the Dragon is in the next compartment, Harmony, again up? I was wondering for a moment why a PMA is needed to connect a CBM module to a CBM spacecraft, but even though we're looking straight at it, the PMA isn't being used.

EDIT: Oh wait, you said Unity, not Harmony, so then it would be looking the other way. Are you sure about that? If so, we're not going to see anything interesting from this angle.

Yes, you can see it from the orange/brown color of the walls - Harmony is blue / white. Also the PMA is not closed off as the one in Harmony is, just decorated with stowage bags :) I agree, I'm not sure why they're pointing that way when the action is happening just opposite. Hopefully they'll change the angle when the hatch is due to be open.
