Good timing, as ISS lost KU right after.

Anyone know what that soft ringing sound in the background is whenever mission control Houston comes on the line? It sounds like the warning signal you hear when you step into a vacuum in Dead Space.  :)

Good timing, as ISS lost KU right after.

Isn't that cutting it a bit close? As in the capture ops schedule so close to Ku outage. Or can one control Dragon from SpaceX Control / Houston even when we're out of Ku. (I'm assuming Ku outage corresponds to other outages too)

Well, there was a time on Friday when I was questioning whether we'd ever see this moment with this vehicle. :)

Congrats SpaceX, the professional way in which you recovered from this anomaly is impressive.

Kevin Ford, Evgeny Tarelkin and Oleg Novitsky now become the first people to ever be visited by two Dragons.

No - Dragon and the ISS can still be commanded even without Ku. No Ku only means no video.
