Elon Twitter:

Issue with Dragon thruster pods. System inhibiting three of four from initializing. About to command inhibit override.

assume the logic is to first get away from upper stage/ get attitude control, then deploy solar arrays. Because of the problem with the thruster pods, the solar arrays werent deployed because the previous step was not accomplished?

NASA feed said an update would be available when the ISS update started.

Crew is back to unprivate comms... No mention of details yet.

Server outage - this is why we need more L2 members!

I reckon the thruster issue is preventing Dragon from going to array deploy attitude, and thus is preventing array deploy altogether.

Can Dragon come home with only three of four thruster pods? If Dragon does have to come home, then the HRSGFs will be lost.

My impression is that the solar panels covers didn't separate during ascent. Both not separating means probably a common failure.

This is nominal (as seen now with the thruster problem). Check last flight's TLEs:

Right you sods! Do not hammer F5, we had 1,200 page request PER SECOND which knocked the server down.

WOW!! Do you think we need more L2 subscribers here... ;) Shameless appeal for funds from no one of consequence ;D
now we return you to the continuing drama unfolding in SpaceX ;)

They have three of four inhibited, correct?  So only one of four working?

Correct, only one of four worked at the time of Dragon separation. Might've been fixed by now for all we know; we'll have to wait and see.

Yep, correct. My bad - I read Elon's Tweet so fast that I thought he said three were up, with one inhibited.

But you are correct - one up, three inhibited.

Could someone clarify if the Solar wings covers in nominal mode are separated during ascent, are separated during orbit or remain attached to Dragon ?

Draco thruster firings are a part of a nominal Dragon-2nd stage sep. I did not see any on the live feed, it was a good thing there was a clean sep without them.

Covers stay on till solar array deploy, which last go around happened at T+11m37s.
