I'm one of the only engineers I know for whom having their work immolate into oblivion is all part of a Good Day. Farewell, Trunk!

Seems legit. Can't, on the spur of the moment, think of any sci-tech domain outside of aerospace engineering where this holds. (Weapons engineering doesn't count. Any day you use a weapon is a bad day. Testing included.)

(Disclaimer: Of course, it's all interdisciplinary anyway, but this is the banter thread.)

Well do we need another party for the next SpaceX launch? 'cause that's just a run-of-the-mill maiden voyage of a half-new rocket.  ;) (and if so I demand a Shenzhou/Chang'e launch/landing party thread!  ;D)

Everyone's allowed one post of congrats in the update thread (per tradition - people look back on major event threads in years to come, so it's a nice touch to allow people to get their name on such threads).

By the way, were the servers good for everyone this time as we got busy again? Looked fine from my chair at least.

First of all a hearty "Git 'er done!" to Spacex. :)

Now I know I might be looking down the road a piece but this is another step toward making denial of Kool Aid impossible. If we get through this summer with the planned F9 v1.1 flights being successful and light up the next Dragon, I'm buying a wash tub full of the stuff and drinking all of it.

Yes, but I'll bet launches get more hits.

Great mission! Now it's on to Falcon 9 v1.1 in June and also Orbital's Antares launch in April. It's going to be a busy few months here at Nasaspaceflight.com. Looking forward to all the excellent coverage.

Good job, SpaceX!

Congratulations to all involved, especially for the way the anomaly was resolved at the start of the flight.
