How the heck did that guy get Elon on his show??

Edit: I wonder if Elon actually gave him a Tesla? lol.
Elon has a pretty good sense of humor, he laughs easily, likes Monty Python, sends cheese to space etc.
I doubt he gave away aTesla  ;D

I'm planning on heading to Vandenburg for the launch once the next launch date is announced. Any great viewing areas there for launches?

There is a bunch of posts on viewing locations here although they are for SLC-3.  Some think that Renwick Ave is the best place off the base for that, but it may be different for SpaceX at SLC-4.
What kind of wastrels would dump a perfectly good booster in the ocean after just one use?

Luckily I woke up at 4PM today EST time. I'll be staying up all night to fix my sleep schedule.
LEO is the ocean, not an island (let alone a continent). We create cruise liners to ride the oceans, not artificial islands in the middle of them. We need a physical place, which has physical resources, to make our future out there.

Unsubstantiated. There hasn't been any junk left in the trunk for a while.
