Was anyone else amazed at the quality of the video images we were getting yesterday of the Dragon separation? The lighting was just perfect. I was so excited that we would be able to see the solar array covers pop off and the arrays deploy from the second stage camera. And the separation was so clean the stage was barely turning at all. Too bad we didn't get to see the array deployment after all, but I'm just glad they solved the pressurization problem so they didn't lose the whole mission. Would have been a shame after such a beautiful launch.

Here's hoping the rest of the flight is flawless!

Yeah!  It seems like they tried to get that video before.  On the COTS-2+ mission, there was a brief shot of Dragon departing, but they apparently lost the connection.  I'm looking forward to future flights showing the jettison of the pontoons and solar array deployment from that vantage point.

Go Falcon 9!  I was under the impression this was the vehicle's last flight so I threw something together real quick.  If it isn't, we can always add more  :)

Edit: Seems I've made a mistake, just a minute and I'll have that in order.
Edit2: There we go!

W00t!

From the update thread:

International Space Station Program and SpaceX managers Saturday gave the go-ahead for the SpaceX’s Dragon cargo vehicle to rendezvous with the station on Sunday, March 3.

And the separation was so clean the stage was barely turning at all.

Particularly noticed that about stage 1 separation, too. S1 maintained a really good view of S2 well into ignition and early S2 burn.

Ironically, Dragon did not separate so cleanly from S2, even if S2 stayed stable itself. Did Dragon have to use it's one working thruster bank to perform the separation?

cheers, Martin

No.
But Dragon does initiate a burn very shortly after separation, yes?

I second putting that on Wikipedia.  Word of advice, though, I'd make the text bold and/or a little larger.
