Falcon flew with grace and power
Launched the mission on the hour
Flew to orbit, dropped away
Sent the Dragon on its way

Sleepy Dragon yawned and coughed
Valve control was looking soft
Stretched its wings a little late
Thruster problems, missed the gate

Now we watch and wait to see
How SpaceX will fire up three.
This could be a tricky day -
Drama seems the SpaceX way.

Love it!  Thanks

Party threads don't require party poopers. Thread trimmed.

SpaceX kind of pooped its own party. :P

Edit: At least for the time being.

LEO is the ocean, not an island (let alone a continent). We create cruise liners to ride the oceans, not artificial islands in the middle of them. We need a physical place, which has physical resources, to make our future out there.

What matters is if the mission is successful. They can definitely still have full mission success right now. (But it does inconvenience the Station crew a little bit.)

This is the most serious situation they've ever had to deal with. It will be interesting to see how they handle it as well as the aftermath, regardless of the result.

IMHO, the first few Falcons falling out of the sky was a lot more serious (as the company nearly went under)...

I'm looking at the upside, berthing won't happen in the wee hours of the morning later today/tomorrow for me, which means my girlfriend won't be annoyed by me being up while she has to sleep for work tomorrow. So as long as they fix it hopefully, they have done me a favor!  ;) And maybe berthing will happen at a better time for me.

Either way, if they make it, I'll be watching, with drink on hand!

Here is hoping they do!

Apparently it's St. David's Day in Wales, and everyone take the Welsh dragon flag out...... maybe getting even more people doing that will help save the dragon up in the sky?  :-\

Someone needs to get out and push. Maybe if Dragon gets close enough to the ISS a couple of ISS Astronauts with flight packs could EVA and push it the rest of way so that the Canada arm could grab it. Just kidding but, wouldn't it be something. Sounds like right out of Space Cowboys.

Star the party up again folks!!

Pods 1 and 4 now online and thrusters engaged. Dragon transitioned from free drift to active control. Yes!! @elonmusk

Yes but there was nothing they could do about them. The sort of pressure here is different and will affect team dynamic in different ways.

That means pods 1, 3 and 4 are online, right (Musk mentioned Pod 3 earlier)?
