I had started to conclude that once I had spotted that they didn't use a strongback or cradle for the lift.

Any reason why they use the ship for vehicle prep then? Wouldn't it be better to do it ashore or does 'sheltered waters' include places, closer to the launch point, other than the home port?

Should this discussion move to a more general Sea Launch thread?

Rick
I am not interested in your political point scoring, Ad Hominem attacks, personal obsessions and vendettas. - No matter how cute and clever you may think your comments are.

With the vehicle prep work done on the ship we can use any port to process the ILV, providing that we can get our hands on LOX and LN2. As to moving closer to the launch site, this would be a big benefit to us..... But the issue of getting the cryos in large quantities will be the limiting factor.
