Thanks for the correction!... :) Unfortunately my source has the old information... :(

Extractions from http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20060627/tc_afp/skoreamilitarysatellite_060627064928

"The Mugunghwa 5 will be put into orbit on August 10 from the South Pacific, officials at the Defense Ministry and the Joint Chiefs of Staff said.

France's Alcatel has built the satellite body and transmitter while US-based firm Sea Launch is responsible for the launch into an orbit of an altitude of 36,000 kilometers (22,000 miles)."

Well, although it is true to say it is a French-built satellite (it was integrated in Cannes, home of the film festival), the manufacturer has been "French-Italian Alcatel Alenia" for almost one year now.

South Korea delays military satellite launch
http://www.spacedaily.com/2006/060718055734.8vgmp6s5.html

""We have rescheduled the satellite launch from August 10 to August 20 as requested by Sea Launch," said a spokesman at the Defense Acquisition Program Administration, which is affiliated with the defense ministry."

Nice information about Koreasat 5 mission:
http://www.sea-launch.com/current_launch.htm

"Sea Launch is now preparing for the launch of the Koreasat 5 communications satellite for the Agency For Defense Development of Korea and the KT Corporation, in August. The 4465 kg (9,844 lb) spacecraft will provide advanced broadband multimedia and digital television transmission services, as well as military and conventional telecom services to operators in the Asia-Pacific region."

Do we have a date for this, so we can prepare for live event coverage? Aug 20 seems to be the latest info?

We're August 7 and Odyssey is still there.

Don't they need to leave Long Beach some 16 days before launch?

Seems to be hard to launch on the 20 then.

Okay, so they left on Aug. 7 or 8. Plus 16 days that would bring us to Aug. 23 or 24, unless they've been able to speed up the cruise!
