Now scheduled at late March. This should be the first Chinese launch of the year.
Source: http://lt.cjdby.net/thread-1534256-1-1.html
It's so disappointing that there will be no launches in the first two months, while there were three in the same period of time last year...

The satellite has finished loading propellant on April 16, and should be encapsulated and transported to the launch pad very soon.
This satellite is the largest (in terms of power supply, transponder numbers and mass) Chinese commercial communication satellite ever built.
I am not confident with my recent guesses, but judging from the date the rocket arrives at the launch site and this recent status report, I think May 1st +- 2 days is a reasonable guess of the launch date.

One forum member who may be visiting for this launch reports a May 2 LT launch date. Asking for clarification whether it will be before or after midnight (i.e. whether the launch is on May 1 or May 2 GMT).
Unconfirmed report: this may be pushed back a few days as an M7 earthquake hit the area a few hours ago - the rocket needs re-adjustments and safety checks.
..............
or maybe not? It turns out that while the launch team did take measures in the event of another earthquake, the pad flow was actually not disrupted - on April 20 (the day the M7.0 earthquake struck) the mating of the satellite to the interstage was completed as scheduled, and on the next day the satellite was transported to the pad and mated to the launch vehicle. It looks like that there will not be any delays to the launch.

These NOTAMs are for the boosters and the fairing debris.
As usual don't expect any NOTAM for the 1st or 2nd stage debris.

Launch success officially confirmed. The launch time is 16:06:04 UTC.
i sent a PM to Rui with the info so that when he gets a chance he can update the Chinese Launch Schedule to reflect the latest launch.
----------
BTW and somewhat OT since the following regards another upcoming mission:
Do you have.can you find any new info to add regarding the following info I found and posted earlier during April 2013:
I am hearing a TSLC launch between early and middle of May 2013. I have not found actual dates yet. Someone keep an eye out launchers in the area being shipped to TSLC, but is probably already their given info I came across.
if you find any could you please inform Rui and post the new info in this thread here:

Some months ago, it was reported that part of ZX-11 capacity was leased to SupremeSat and was to be operated as "SupremeSat II".
As i have heard nothing more about this deal, i guess ZX-11 has now no more connections to SupremeSat.

News report:
http://news.cntv.cn/2013/05/02/VIDE1367455561818843.shtml - Exact launch time 16:06:04.405 UTC.
Meanwhile XSLC is seeing some serious pad upgrades - pad 2 (used yesterday) has just seen upgrades to the control system, power/gas supply and satellite fairing temperature/humidity control system. A new satellite test facility is under construction, and pad 3 is being modified to support probably CZ-3B/C launches (or maybe the new CZ-2C for the GLXP moonshot?) (will be completed in late 2014):
http://news.cntv.cn/2013/05/02/VIDE1367455562055853.shtmlThe same report confirms that only 3 launches are scheduled (including this one) at XSLC this year, and more than 50 are planned for the next 8-10 years, with some years seeing up to 15 satellites being launched from here in one year.

The satellite is described as an improved version of ChinaSat 10 (launched June 2011) with a half year increase in life expectancy and new moveable spot beam coverage, and upgrades to the communication cables, signal converters, thrusters etc.
Also this rocket has debuted some new changes too - laser inertial guidance is used as the prime control system for the first time in China, new larger composite helium tanks used for the first time (used to be smaller titanium tanks), and rocketcam being used again on the CZ-3 series.

Well according to what appeared on Supremesat web site in 2012 (it was later modified) the early plan was:
Supremesat-I = C band portion of Chinasat-10
Supremesat-II = C/Ku portion of Chinasat-11
Supremesat-III = own satellite at 50°E to launch in 2015
The present plan according to
current Supremesat website is as follows:
Supremesat-I = C/Ku portion of Chinasat-12 (service was to start in June at 87.5°E)
Supremesat-II = Portion of the payload of an undisclosed satellite to be launched in 2013
Supremesat-III = own satellite at 50°E to launch in 2015
Edit: Additional information from Jan 2013:
TRC Approves License For SupremeSATNew edit on May 30: SupremeSat-II lease project has apparently been cancelled and SupremeSat-III has become
SupremeSat-2 contracted to CGWIC on May 28 for a launch in mid-2016 (orbital position to be confirmed)
