Congrats to SpaceX on a great mission! This mission will surely be debated as far as overall success but, Dragon has clearly carried out it's part.

Assuming that wasn't just a knock-on from later burn, would that mean it would have landed closer or further from the coast?

A bit closer I would have to say. Depends on the correction made during entry and the winds…
