I'm signing off for the moment. Maybe I'll be back for the deorbit burn and reentry in a couple of hours.

Great work guys. I think SpaceX are going to do something for splashdown, but we'll see.

Here's Pete's excellent article, updated:

Anybody know the predicted weather in the recovery zone?

Currently looks clear skies with a 29km/h wind from the northeast. Should be good weather.

Yaw maneuver.

Did they really call that yaw? Because that's a roll, based on the video screenshots posted here, and assuming that camera is on the hatch boresight.  Or does Dragon have a weird definition of axes?

EDIT1:  That camera is probably not boresight, never mind, I think :)

EDIT2:  Thanks Space Pete for the confirm.

With the cooling units on board they will have a short recovery timeframe to get them out before the batteries run low, I imagine.

•Dragon's Reentry
No live webcast for reentry and splashdown, but stay tuned here for real-time updates on Dragon’s return to Earth.

SpaceX why?

That camera is in the GNC bay - and so on the "top" side of Dragon, looking "up" at the ISS - and so it was indeed a yaw.

Does anyone have updated times for the further events in this mission? De-orbit burn, re-entry, and splashdown?
LEO is the ocean, not an island (let alone a continent). We create cruise liners to ride the oceans, not artificial islands in the middle of them. We need a physical place, which has physical resources, to make our future out there.

GNC Door Closure

Dragon’s GNC bay door has closed, stowing the grapple fixture used to attach to the space station’s arm.
