For some reason I feel like confirmation that engine 1 exploded would be super cool.  Probably not a healthy attitude on my part 

Honestly, I'd love to see perfect launches from SpaceX but a violent confirmation of the Falcon 9 engine out capability makes for better TV.

It would be bad to lose an engine to RUD but it would be pretty awesome to prove engine-violently-out capability.

I just said as much in the discussion thread.  (I was out for a while and was reading that thread before I came back here and saw your comment.)
