Boy, did I ever pick the wrong feed (NASA) to watch the launch.

I switched SpaceX onto the TV and NASATV onto the laptop at last minute. Very happy I did that.

Watching the SpaceX webcast via the DVR feature now and that roll control nozzle really had a workout on this launch, it wasn't used nearly as much on the previous flight.

Yeah, I thought that, too.

cheers, Martin

It sure seemed like they had a software anomaly right around Dragon separation.

What makes you say that?

cheers, Martin

Interrupted turkey dinner at my in-laws for 15 minutes.  No one seemed to mind!

I'am almost sure that one of the four "corner-cover" of the first stage was torn away at T+01m19s, first I thought that an engine had exploded !
Fortunately this problem didn't affect the launch.

my thought too, my heart sank but having the second camera on the spacex feed gave me quick relief.  hopefully the question of what happened will be answered and available for us not on L2 to see.

Commenting on that last question there. I thought the second stage burned for longer than in the past. Was that true or not? I would have to look at the old videos to compare.

That won't help.. it's a different orbit.

I think the question was prompted by the fact that the on board camera seemed to have a 5 -10 second delay. I noted that on lift off. It showed the umbilical breaking away well after the other camera showed the rocket well clear of the towers.

Great to see Falcon 9 v1 launch.. again.

We already know this rocket works but it's nice to see it again.

To actually meet their cargo contract obligations they're going to need more power. This will be the tricky bit.
