Is that the crescent moon in the background, or just a lens flair?

SSRMS brakes to on. Arm is safe. Complete for robotics for the day.

So picking up Dextre will be tomorrow then.

Continuing with the Dragon bolts.

I didn't hear the 'arrival bell' being rung. Does that only happen for manned spacecraft arrivals or only when the hatches are open?

More cow bell...

Only for crewed missions (although I've not heard it for Soyuz).

Fantastic! A historic day indeed. Dragon just earned a seat at the table currently occupied only by Progress, ATV, and HTV.

Congratulations to SpaceX and NASA!

Space launches attended:
Antares/Cygnus ORB-D1 Wallops Island, VA Sept 2013 | STS-123 KSC, FL March 2008 | SpaceShipOne Mojave, CA June 2004

Sorry for off topic. In the US military (so sadly not for our Russian partner ships) the ship bell is used to signal presence of important persons.

By the way, with just the presser to go before the end of the main events of the day, I know a lot of you want to post your congrats to SpaceX in this main thread, as opposed to being stuck in the Party thread (used to keep this clean for updates).

So if you want to post congrats in this historic thread, I'll let you post once in here. Seems only right!

I'll start. Well done SpaceX. The more I read about this mission the more complicated it seems. Big, big deal to pull this off! ;D

Only for crewed missions (although I've not heard it for Soyuz).

Specifically for crew entering through PMA2

And well done to SpaceX; the entire team, both Falcon-9 and Dragon, have really done wonders for this mission.  Consider that a decade ago, the company was a start-up and now it's sent the first US spacecraft to the ISS since shuttle retirement.  That isn't an achievement to be sniffed at.

Once again, very well done.  Onward to Crewed Dragon!

NTV shutting down live coverage (apart from the MSB in 30 mins) until tomorrow morning's ingress.

We'll keep going through the MSB (I'll cover).

Great day for US, SpaceX and NSF.  I missed some of the overnight stuff, so thanks to all for providing me 'live' coverage.  Felt like I was there for the whole thing!

Very impressive, congratulations, SpaceX! (and NASA)... Soon, we find out if some cheese was sent up for the crew... :)  I think the most impressive part for me so far was the LIDAR problem and how it was worked around with not a lot of delay via "Dragon-squint"

Ditto the thanks to NSF for the best coverage on the web.
