This is really exciting stuff. I really enjoy the way SpaceX performs. Just so I know, being not all that familiar with all those different timetables; EDT is GMT -5? (I don't want to miss the grappling)

I'm also very interested in the distance. In the eastern US we are about to get an ISS flyover (SW to NE), with it breaking into sunlight at 4:07:34, and I'm going outside with binocs to see if I can spot the smaller Dragon behind it.

Use the usual ISS flyover tracking sites to see more details.

EDIT 3:41am: Dragon is 10 km behind and 1.4 km below ISS, so ~10 km total (know your trig

), and PAO says that is dropping quickly.

EDIT 3:47am: added a graphic from heavens-above.com, calculated for me from Atlanta but useful for entire eastern US to see approximate location and times

CapCom noted that Dragon is about 1.5 km below and 10 km behind ISS.

OK, Updated position from ISS MCC, as of 0342 ET, Dragon is 10km below and 1.4Km behind the ISS.
