Reading the note it's not clear to me whether they actually had to replace the GPS (again) in the end or just re-seat the connectors?

Offline Space Pete

that was a quick fix....

The real test will be whether it fails again...and whether the 3 week runtime requirement will be observed.

From the ESA blog link:

Would it make sense (assuming it works long enough for the launch) to put a spare in the Dragon? I.e., do a genuine late-load test?

A note of relevance (per SIGI discussions in L2) to this launch via Pete Harding's Soyuz article:

I've been keeping an eye on the weather at Cape Canaveral & it seems to be getting worse by the day. Is it the rainy season there?
The long range forecast says there will be periods of clear sky interspersed with fast moving T-storms on both Friday & Saturday.

It's not the "rainy season" as much as it is summer. Nothing out of the ordinary, and the early morning launch is the best bet for success. Still if you're looking to buy a non-refundable plane ticket, I'd stretch the return trip until after the second try.

When I show up for a launch (sometime in the future) it'll be on a motorcycle. ;D

ISS Program Gives "GO" for May 19 SpaceX Launch
Tue, 15 May 2012 04:30:54 PM GMT

The International Space Station Program completed an additional Flight Readiness Review (FRR) this morning on the upcoming SpaceX demonstration mission to the space station. The teams reported all remaining work had been completed and everyone is "go" for launch. SpaceX reported that the Dragon spacecraft and its systems are ready for the mission.
Today's FRR mainly focused on the software changes that had been made by SpaceX during the last couple of weeks and the closeout of additional paperwork. SpaceX will conduct its own launch readiness review on Thursday and will issue a statement after it concludes. Launch is scheduled for May 19 at 4:55 a.m. EDT. Launch coverage will begin on NASA TV at 3:30 a.m. The NASA Launch Blog also will begin at 3:30 a.m.

Got me wondering what the weather constraints are for the upcoming mission so a bit of searching turned up this:

Apologies if this has already been posted.

Edit: dsmillman already posted a link to that document. On this same page! Don't know how I missed it. Thanks rdale for pointing it out to me.

45th Space Wing Weather Squadron has released their L-3 forecast, so now our neurotic behavior is officially blessed.

Currently forecasting a 30% chance of weather violation at launch time; primary concern is violating the cumulus cloud rule:
