The white room isn't on the strongback in those pictures. Maybe they don't expect to late-load anything.

They have a white room that goes on the strongback?  Is that for sure?

Would it roll out with the erector? I thought they attach it after.

It was attached during the roll out for the WDR and the test firing.  Maybe they only leave it there until they've finalised the manifest and then it's detached and stored away for the launch.

After all: If there is an 'unplanned burn-off' like the last flight, the White Room could get cooked.  I wouldn't leave it there unless I absolutely had to.

That room was tested after the Wet Dress in early March.  (WDR on March 1; "late-load demonstration test" the next day.)

I haven't seen any imagery of the room with the erector during vehicle transfer to the pad and it's unlikely they would be working late load on a test flight.

If anyone can find some, please post in the discussion thread to keep the tangential chatter in this thread to a minimum -- the pre-launch news conference is coming up in a couple of hours.

NASA.gov has at least three constantly refreshing images of empty rooms, but the camera that was once pointed at SLC-40 is not coming up.  :-P

Anyone know where to get a feed, or even a still, of the launch site?  (Perhaps the lack of a posted image on this forum is an answer to that question.)

PS That link posted by Ronsmytheiii doesn't work for me, but that may be due to issues here.

Edit: Duh!  Asked and answered.  Thanks, Ron.

What kind of wastrels would dump a perfectly good booster in the ocean after just one use?

The LC-39 cameras are likely still operational (some of them); however, I believe some of the video circuits there are down for now due to Shuttle retirement and may not be as widely distributed at the moment.  The SLC-40 cameras are likely controlled by SpaceX (such as seen in their webcasts).

Big pic from NASA: http://twitpic.com/9mfgnw/full
New ones via KSC PAO (Ron posted similar link a few posts back):
http://mediaarchive.ksc.nasa.gov/search.cfm?cat=225

(Probably includes or will include that one...they have a total of seven available right now from transfer to Pad 40 and after the vehicle was raised to vertical.)
