Author Topic: Possibility of visiting Baikonur to view Soyuz launches?  (Read 3340 times)

I've enjoyed going to Florida and seeing shuttle launches from the causeway, the KSC VC, and the Astronaut Hall of Fame.  Alas the shuttle program has ended and now Americans have to take rides on Russian rockets.

I'm wondering whether it will now be possible to take a trip to Baikonur and buy tickets to see a Soyuz launch.  If I do go to Russia, what other space-related sights are there?  I know about Star City and I've also heard that there is a space museum somewhere with lots of replicas.
I'll even excitedly look forward to "flags and footprints" and suborbital missions. Just fly...somewhere.

Thanks Danderman.  I'm checking out buran.fr's link on this.
