GSA selling off Shuttle Parts
« on: 04/27/2012 03:41 PM »
http://gsaauctions.gov/gsaauctions/aucalsrh/

Lot's of good history ends here for sale.

"Attention GSA Auctions bidders and interested participants. NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) Space Shuttle Program has retired and NASA has partnered with GSA Auctions to sell the many shuttle related items through a series of auctions in 2012. All who are interested in participating in these sales and other sales of export controlled items are advised that they MUST be U.S. Citizens, any agents working on their behalf (removal after award) must also provide proof of citizenship, and removals must be scheduled at least 48 hours (normal duty days) in advance of pick-up with the NASA point of contact. Details will be included in the description portion of the items posted for sale and proof must be provided in advance of removing property. We look forward to doing business with you in the year 2012."

This next part might be off topic abit, it does show the special type of stuff the GSA sells.  In this example the Stealth ship.

Darn that ITAR  :(

It is safe to say that those will not go up for auction.

It's not the monitors, it is the pallet that supports them ;)

Just shy of 200 users have looked at the (gas handling?) equipment.

Anyone know what it is?

Interested in knowing what it was used for etc.

Stennis Space Center has a SHUTTLE COLUMBIA up for sale.  Guess someone no longer has one in the office.

Judging from what Iíve seen the GSA employees are not the brightest government employees.

Auction terminated at 2,825 USD! That can buy a lot of Revell shuttle kits!

Hey.  That's my gizmo.  Right out behind the tractor shed.  They can't sell that!
Sometimes I just flat out don't get it.
