Not sure how many have seen this.
Garry makes some interesting quotes about flight rate and cost.
Recommended viewing for SLS fans.
This is about a year old now and from before the announcement of the SLS.

The stuff that caught my attention.
If NASA can't do heavy lift it will be outsourced to somebody like SpaceX.
We need to be able to build the SLS on a flat budget.
Although RAC2 is better in every way we simply can't do it because the start up cost is too high.
With RAC3 you can build a reliable crew launcher but getting to 130mt gets more risky. If able to split crew and cargo this path could work.
My thoughts :
It leaves me wondering if shuttle derived really is a good idea.
It doesn't really seem like there's going to be the resources to launch this rocket even if it is built.
It's just too big for some of the things it's supposed to do and the development is going to have to ramp up anyway if the Block1A vehicle is going to fly with advanced boosters and RS-25E.
