Can you remove the SS explosion from the intro. I hovered my cursor over the UT video and saw giant fireball...

Press release from today's flight test.

From that press release, after the flight there was a press conference (via "WebEx") for media only.  Did anyone from NSF attend, and was anything interesting reported in there?  I'm not finding any NSF articles about this flight, only for the first flight three years ago.  Maybe the partnership with Stratolaunch (and the epic 5.5 hour coverage) meant no article.

Regarding that live coverage itself, the commentary from Stratolaunch's design engineer Grace Wang was absolutely outstanding!  She gave us lots of information and insight.  I'm only two-thirds through the recording now (biting off 20 minute chunks as I get time) but it appears she was with us for the entire time.  Thanks Grace!

I was listening in to the press conference (I wish it was recorded). A few notes from what I had written elsewhere:

- Aiming to fly Talon by the end of the year.
- Pylon is in the hangar undergoing final construction, will have it installed for flight 5.
- Goal is to also finish envelope expansion by the end of the year.
- Flight crew were still in debrief at the time, but they were hoping they could have them talk.

I hope that helps! :)

Test flight #4.  It was supposed to test all of the landing gear.  I haven't watched it all the way through yet (will take me a couple days here and there :) ) so I don't know if it was successful, but it sure looks like it was.

What a feat for the Model 351 to perform two flights in two months, setting a new historic first in being the first plane with a 300+ foot wingspan to fly multiple times within a year. If additional flights of the Model 351 surpass expectations, someday Stratolaunch Systems sign contracts with ULA and Boeing to develop a version of the Model 351 for ferrying rocket stages to space launch facilities.

Do we know what engine Talon, which will apparently fly this year, will be using?
Wait, ∆V? This site will accept the ∆ symbol? How many times have I written out the word "delta" for no reason?

According to this article, it's Ursa Major's Hadley:

https://spacenews.com/stratolaunch-aircraft-returns-to-the-skies-after-two-year-hiatus/

That talks specifically about the "Talon-A," which opens up the possibility of a different Talon with a different engine in the future.
