I've been in contact with a model-builder friend of mine. He's the guy actually building the models NASA solicited for a while back, and he's also my plastic parts supplier too.
So when he had a slight problem researching one item, he asked me for info.
Even I'm having difficulty pinning anything firm down to help him though, so perhaps folk here could assist please?
The original solicitation showed the CEV Service Module has four RCS packs, each with five thrusters.
Does anyone know if either contractor is going with this or if it's likely to be a different configuration (4 or 8 thusters).
He's not going to go for the canfield joint variant unless specified, but he'd like to get this detail right if at all possible, so thanks for any assistance anyone here can provide.
Ross.
I doubt you get the info, it first has to be oked by the contractor before can be released . What you are asking for would give a contractor the right to protest,
Also, the CLV is still the NASA design. Any variants away from the official configuration probably will not get the blessings required.
