Continuing from the Cygnus Update Thread:

Would it be a good idea to seek advertisers on commercial launch vehicles and spacecraft? Would it bring in meaningful amounts of money? Would it influence perception of manned spaceflight or of commercial spaceflight?

Astrobotics is trying that approach for their lunar mission.

I for one wouldn't care if the next F9 looked like a big skinny coke can or had a FedEx logo, or a Chevron ad. PETA could write "Go Vegan" on the business end.

Could even deck it out like NASCAR, where everyone and their mom reserves a 6 inch decal spot.

I fully agree with the sentiment that it would be fantastic publicity for the Cygnus to be renamed the 'coors lite capsule'. The headlines would ~~spread [\s] dissapate like pictures of Paris.~~
