Eutelsat-W3C, CZ-3B/E launch - October 7, 2011
« on: 09/04/2011 10:09 am »
Creating a new thread for this launch. I'm assuming there will be no significant delays to this launch that was schedule for September 2011 before the SJ-11-04 failure.

There was an old thread about the decision of Eutelsat to choose China to launch W3C at http://forum.nasaspaceflight.com/index.php?topic=16007.0

Haven't sure if this is some confusion with the previous delay from September, but at this news in Spanish at http://nowsat.info/?p=1454 says that the launch was delayed from October.

The China Great Wall Industry Corporation has put their W3C project page up, with information about the upcoming launch.

Launch is on October 7 and there will be no live coverage because there is no webcast available.

Lots of people watching the launch up in the valley (maybe because today's launch falls in the National Day hoilday period).  :)

Rui's article:
http://www.nasaspaceflight.com/2011/10/china-build-global-market-long-march-3be-launch-eutelsat-w3c/

The launch time needs to be updated. It's not 0820 UTC but also doesn't seem to be 0829 UTC either (based on the time the microbloggers tweeted).
