Seems like they have stopped on the tow-way between the VAB and OPF3.

She's still sitting there. Guessing it's another photo opportunity like there was for Discovery and Endeavour.

Yes, an employee event...one of those trucks down there is Häagen-Dazs. They had to end it early due to weather in the area.

Wasn't it the final time the landing gear would be retracted when she was loaded on the Orbiter Transport Vehicle?

Article by Philip Sloss - including some of his pictures, and some of Larry Sullivan's - both of whom were at KSC for us today.
Some really nice quotes in this:
Atlantis’ team comforted by the orbiter retiring at her home port of KSC:

Great article! I'm so glad that my favorite Space Shuttle isn't leaving her home.

Published on Oct 18, 2012 by SpaceVidsNet
Space shuttle Atlantis rolled out of the Orbiter Processing Facility 2 to the Vehicle Assembly Building for the final time on Oct. 17 at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Atlantis has been undergoing preparations for public display as part of NASA's Transition and Retirement processing of the shuttle fleet. The orbiter is scheduled to move to its new home at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex on Nov. 2. There, a grand opening is planned for Atlantis in July 2013.

That was bittersweet...
That videographer did a superb job, with great pan shots, close-ups, and giving her that extra touch of grace.
And someone has an awesome looking car (~ 9min in)!
Hey, it's Philip in the video! (~9:43). Way to go man!
I have a whole new take on the chants recently, saying: "USA USA USA"
'United Space Alliance, United Space Alliance, United Space Alliance'.
They have done such an amazing job over the years on these girls. They will always have my utmost respect, and hopefully that of many others as well.
