Before the three Orbiters are dispersed for the very final time; I'd love to see a photo-op of all three posed together with two spaces for a sort of 'missing man' configuration for 'Challenger' and 'Columbia'.
Imagine a 5 pointed star shape with two 'ghostly' Shuttle shapes (photoshopped) there with them on the tarmac.
Too dramatic or maudlin? Perhaps. But there wouldn't be a dry eye in the house. Maybe just an arrow-shape with 'Discovery' leading then with 'Endeavour' and 'Atlantis' just behind at left & right.
After all, this will be the last chance to do this...
I don't think it would be possible to get all the OMS and FRCS pods back and installed on -104/105 in time or to get the RSSME's on in a month even with a full workforce before the layoffs. As much as I would like to see them, it's just not practical.
I'm assuming that before they are mounted on the 747, they will have replica OMS etc in place? I was taking something like that for granted when I proposed the photo(s).

No replica OMS/RCS structures, the three flight orbiters will be transported to their display sites with their flight hardware, albeit decommissioned, and replica main engines. As Ron posted, Atlantis's RCS ship-set is in New Mexico for that decommissioning and is scheduled to still be there when Discovery leaves KSC next month. And given all the work in the aft compartment, Endeavour may not be ready for the replica engine installs until after that, too. Enterprise was fitted with the ferry-worthy replica OMS pods (the ALTA pods).

They won't, Endeavour and Atlantis will have the shells of their FRCS and OMS pods returned before they leave KSC grounds after the hydrazine systems have been gutted out at White Sands. The replica OMS pods you refer to are the ALTA pods which have been installed on Enterprise and will remain on her at Intrepid.
Again though, don't think there are enough personnel to make it happen even off all of the components were back today.

Update on the orbiter donations of MPS hardware to SLS, with some brilliant quotes from Ms Stilson via Philip Sloss' interview on behalf of the site, and some epic hardware photos from Brian Papke on behalf of the site.
We've got such a good team on this. Really couldn't of hoped for better.

Orbiter Processing Facility-1, hypergolic fuel deactivation and safing of shuttle Atlantis is underway. Main propulsion system components located in the aft compartment of Atlantis are being removed this week for possible future use on NASA’s Space Launch System (SLS) program.

Could be wrong, so correct me if I am - but this looks like Atlantis in the OPF as she doesn't have her OMS pods yet (and Endeavour does):

You're right. 104's pods didn't go out to White Sands until Feb. Maybe OV-106 could tell us why they didn't process them for retirement at the HMF.

In Orbiter Processing Facility-1 at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, technicians are removing, inspecting and reinstalling shuttle Atlantis’ windows this week. Main propulsion system components located in the aft compartment of Atlantis are being removed for possible future use on NASA’s Space Launch System (SLS) program.

Wow, look at the GSE in the aft Compartment in these pictures! Hope they save this so that if the MPS parts are not used it could one day be reinstated as part of a restoration.
